Meet the Team
My name is Julie Rodgers and I am the owner of The Memory Makers Travel. As a Florida native, my childhood consisted of lots of fun in the sun, beach vacations, Disney adventures, hiking & camping. As educators, our parents provided my sister and I the most wonderful opportunities to travel and explore the US and Canada. We did it all, everything from camping and hiking in the National Parks to snow skiing in some of the most picturesque locations. This instilled in me an interest in seeing what else the world has to offer. Over the years, I have grown to love traveling abroad and really taking in the lovely people, culture, history, and beauty that this great big world has to offer. Doesn't matter what it is, a cruise, an island getaway, festival, or a trip across the pond, I am in! I am the proud mom of two beautiful children who keep me quite busy as you can imagine. After 26 years in the corporate environment, not feeling like I was ever truly satisfied, and knowing I will be an empty nester in a very short time period, I decided to take a leap of faith and follow my passions in the Travel Industry. What has always made me happy was being with my family, seeing the world, and helping others find their happiness as well. So, I started out on this venture to do just that and I could not be happier! I am blessed to be joined by my wonderful sister in this business, and we are both looking forward to the many years to come, helping you find your happy place and making memories with all of you!
My name is Sabra Bateman. Julie (the owner of The Memory Makers Travel) and I are sisters. We grew up in Florida, the children of two educators so our vacation time meant spending our summers at the beach, traveling around the United States on summer vacations and skiing in the winter and early spring. Some of my fondest memories of our childhood vacations were our beach weeks, visiting the National Parks and snow skiing out West. Fast forward a few years, I am married to my high school sweetheart Jason and we have 3 amazing kids. After Jason and I had kids, creating family vacation memories became very important to me. I wanted my kids to have memories like Julie and I did growing up. The beach is one of my favorite places to be but those who know me well know that I am a Disney junkie...there's just no other way to put it. Jason and I actually lived in Orlando for quite a few years, in fact, our oldest child was born in Orlando. In 2002, the company I work for moved us to South Carolina. That didn't deter my love for Disney. We still travel to Disney as a family quite often as well as Sports Travel and School Travel with Disney. In addition to my affinity for all things Disney, our family loves Cruising, The Carolina Beaches, Florida Keys, The Caribbean and traveling to new places. Julie and I are excited to share our love for travel to help you plan the perfect vacation for you and your loved ones.
